Dance Classes

Our Recreational Dance programs serve as a perfect introduction to the sport for your child. Your athlete will learn basic technique, terminology, coordination, and more when taking our Dance classes!

​Intro Ballet/Tap

PreSchool dancers will learn the elementary positions of classical ballet. Classes are thorough to ensure proper alignment and understanding of dance technique and movements. The class will also explore Beginner Tap movements and focus on developing students coordination, sense of timing, and basic vocabulary. 

 

Dress Code: leotard, pink footed ballet tights, ballet skirt, and black tap shoes. 

​Beginner Ballet

Dancers ages 5-7 will learn the elementary positions of classical ballet. Classes are thorough to ensure proper alignment and understanding. Your athletes will grow comfortable with ballet curriculum and be able to move easily through the barre and center. 

 

Dress code: Leotard, pink footed ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, and ballet skirt.

​Exploratory Dance

This dance class is tailored for athletes 8-13 years of age and will explore a variety of styles of dance including Modern, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, and more. A scheduled rotation will focus on a specific style each week. 

 

Dress Code: shirt/tank top, shorts/leggings. Black leather tap shoes, black leather jazz shoes, or socks. ​

​Beginner Jazz

Dancers will learn beginner skills and terminology. With a focus on learning proper technique such as isolation of the body, improving performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students ages 5-9 will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street, and Contemporary in order to develop a well rounded dancer. 

 

Dress Code: leotard with shorts or leggings, black leather jazz shoes. 

​Advanced Beginner Ballet

This class is for 6-10 year old students who are ready for challenging combinations while adding musicality, choreography, and artistry to their ballet technique, along with proper dance terminology. 

 

Dress Code: Leotard, pink footed ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, and ballet skirt.
